Heartstrings
There never was a story
To remember things by
Just a passing advert
In my walk of life
There ain’t much impressions
To remember you by
Yet your heartbeat still beats
Faintly within mine
There are no words to describe
The one I’ve hardly known
Just ties that can’t be severed
No matter how hard I’ve tried
There isn’t much hope left
Only that you’d be safe
That God will watch over you
Wherever your wings take
There never was a chance
To call you by your name
Only hope that one day I’ll be able
To say it face to face
